Many Excel 2007 users sometimes meet this problem: you saved a large number of data in an .xlsx file and sent it to the clients, but your clients haven't upgraded Excel to version 2007 or 2010, they can't open .xlsx files in Excel 2003 or before version. So what's to be done now? Either he or she upgrades Excel to 2007, or you convert xlsx to xls before sending it. Actually, it's realy easy to convert Excel 2007 to Excel 2003 or Excel 2010 to Excel 2003.
Step1, open the Excel document.
Step2, press the Office button on top left, go to Save As and choose Excel 97-2003 Workbook.
Step3, enter a new name at the File Name field or just use the same name as original xlsx file.
Step4, click Save to convert xlsx to xls, seconds later, the Excel file will be opened default in .xls format as soon as the conversion from Excel 2007 to Excel 2003 or Excel 2010 to Excel 2003 is finished.

Tips: 1. from step2, you can also click Excel Options to save xlsx to xls as below.
2. I am using Excel 2007 and what I show above is the normal process to convert Excel 2007 to Excel 2003. As I know, there is a bit different to save Word 2010 to Word 2003, you can read how to convert docx to doc for reference, it's same as to convert PowerPoint 2010 to PowerPoint 2003.
3. In some cases, people also want to convert PDF to xlsx for rusing contents in original PDF files.
